EcoVadis costs

An EcoVadis assessment costs between €449 and €8,839 per year in the Netherlands. The price depends on three things: the subscription (Basic, Premium, Select or Corporate), the number of employees and the country. These are the amounts EcoVadis showed on its pricing page  on 28 October 2026, for a one-year term. As a supplier, you pay for your own subscription, even if your client invites you.

For what you get for that money, read what is EcoVadis. For whether a medal comes with your subscription, read score and medals. If you have fewer than 25 employees, read EcoVadis for small businesses for a worked example. Comparing this with a certificate? The costs of the CO2-Prestatieladder (CO2 Performance Ladder) and ISO 14001 work very differently.

EcoVadis prices per subscription and company size

EcoVadis places companies in four sizes based on the number of employees. The table shows the annual prices for the Netherlands, as published on the pricing page.

SubscriptionXS (up to 25)S (26-99)M (100-999)L (1,000+)
Basic€449€759€1,179€1,949
Premium€889€1,219€1,949€2,869
Select€2,859€3,489€5,449€8,839
Corporate€6,189€6,489€6,979€7,629

A three-year contract is cheaper per year. The pricing page shows separate amounts for that. When you sign up, check whether the prices include or exclude VAT and whether they are still current. EcoVadis adjusts them per country and period.

There is also a standalone Carbon Rating (climate only) for €199 to €499 per year. You can only take it if a client invites you to, and not if you have fewer than 26 employees.

Which EcoVadis subscription do you need?

The difference between the subscriptions lies in what you can do with your scorecard. The assessment itself is the same for all subscriptions.

SubscriptionWhat you getSuited to
BasicAssessment and scorecard, sharing within the EcoVadis networkOne client that only wants to view it in the platform
PremiumPlus benchmark against your sector, medals and badges, sharing outside the networkYou want to show a medal on your website or in quotes
SelectPlus priority in the assessment, an account manager and an explanation of your scorecardYou are in a hurry or want guidance from EcoVadis itself
CorporatePlus management of several sites and subsidiariesGroups with several legal entities

A call with an EcoVadis analyst about your scorecard costs full price with Basic and a discount with Premium. Select and Corporate include one per year.

Worked example: total EcoVadis costs for an SME

The subscription is often not the largest cost. Most of the time goes into gathering and writing documents. Below is a worked example with our own assumptions for a wholesaler with 40 employees that wants to show a medal.

Cost itemAssumptionAmount
Premium subscription, size SDutch price, 1 year€1,219
Internal hours for the first assessment80 hours × €60 per hour (assumption)€4,800
Internal hours for the reassessment in year 230 hours × €60 per hour (assumption)€1,800
Premium subscription in year 2Dutch price, 1 year€1,219
Total over two years€9,038

The number of hours is an assumption, not an EcoVadis average. If you already have a policy, an environmental policy for ISO 14001 or a CO2 footprint, you will be faster. If you start from scratch, it costs more. If you hire a consultant, add those costs.

Why the second year is cheaper

In a reassessment, you reuse many documents. Policies and procedures remain usable as evidence for eight years, and figures on results for two years. You mainly update your figures and areas for improvement. This is set out in the EcoVadis methodology .

Who pays for EcoVadis: the client or the supplier?

In practice, the supplier pays. Buying companies take out their own subscription to monitor their suppliers. Invited suppliers take out a subscription themselves to be assessed.

Do ask your client which subscription they expect. If they only want to view the results in the platform, Basic is enough. If they ask for a medal or for a score you share outside EcoVadis, you need Premium.

What does an EcoVadis reassessment cost?

A reassessment is included in your subscription. At the end of each subscription period, the subscription renews and you get a new reassessment for the following year. If you already have a reassessment credit, you can start it yourself whenever you like, at no extra cost.

This helps if you have improved quickly. If you have new evidence after six months, you can bring forward your reassessment. Read how to build that evidence on improve your EcoVadis score.

What does EcoVadis cost for a group with subsidiaries?

EcoVadis assesses per legal entity, per group or per site. A scorecard and medal only apply to what has been assessed. A medal for your Dutch BV (private limited company) therefore does not automatically apply to your Belgian sister company.

If you have several BVs that are each invited by clients, there are two routes. You can have the group assessed as a whole, or you can take the Corporate subscription. With Corporate, you manage the scorecards of the group and its subsidiaries centrally, and subsidiaries receive a discount on their own subscription. First ask which legal entity your clients want to see.

EcoVadis costs compared with a certificate

EcoVadis is an annual subscription. A certificate is a three-year cycle with audits. A full comparison is on EcoVadis vs ISO 14001 and CO2 Performance Ladder.

Common mistakes with EcoVadis costs

Taking Basic while the client wants a medal. You can upgrade, but then you pay the difference anyway. Ask first what your client expects.

Having several legal entities assessed separately. If your group has several BVs, check whether a group assessment or the Corporate subscription is cheaper.

Looking only at the subscription price. In the worked example, the internal hours in the first year cost almost four times as much as the subscription. Plan for them.

Forgetting the renewal. The subscription renews each period. Put the end date in your calendar so your reassessment is ready on time.
