Using the EcoVadis logo: how to share your medal on your website and quotes
You may only use the EcoVadis logo and your medal if your medal or badge is still valid and you follow EcoVadis’s usage rules. Only companies with an active Premium, Select or Corporate subscription may publish the medal or badge externally, according to the EcoVadis medals page . The medal is valid for twelve months and applies only to the company that was assessed. Since 1 January 2026, any external use must also link to your official recognition page (Recognition Page) at EcoVadis.
If you use the logo without meeting these conditions, you mislead your client. This page sets out the rules so you can apply them on your website and in your quotes. For what the medal means, read EcoVadis score and medals. For why it is not a certificate, read EcoVadis certificate.

ExamplesWho can share the EcoVadis medal?
Sharing a medal is a benefit of a higher subscription. The table shows the difference between the subscriptions.
| Subscription | External sharing of medal or badge | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | No | You can share the scorecard within the EcoVadis network |
| Premium | Yes | The minimum to show your medal on your website or in quotes |
| Select | Yes | Same right as Premium, plus extra service |
| Corporate | Yes | For groups with several legal entities |
If you have a medal but no Premium subscription, you may not use it externally. If you still want to show it, you must upgrade your subscription. Read the costs on EcoVadis costs.
A medal belongs to the assessment of a specific year. After twelve months it expires, even if your subscription is still running. Then remove the logo from your website, or replace it with a new medal.
What not to do with the logo
Many mistakes are not about the logo itself, but about the context. These five are the most common.
Using the logo as a product label. A medal is not a product label. You may not put it on packaging or a product, or use it in a way that suggests a product is more sustainable.
Using the logo for another company. A medal only applies to the assessed company. If another company in the group refers to your medal, a disclaimer must state which company was assessed.
Leaving an expired medal in place. Each recognition is valid for twelve months from the publication of the scorecard, and you must state this clearly. If you show an older recognition, the validity period must be included.
Changing the logo. The detailed layout rules (colours, size) are in the EcoVadis communication kit. Do not adjust the logo to your own taste, and use the official files.
Showing the logo without a link. Since 2026, any external use must link to your recognition page. This also applies to text that only mentions the medal, without an image. In printed material and PDF files, use a QR code. If that is not possible, print a clearly readable URL.
Placing the logo in five steps
Check your medal
Log in to the platform and see which medal or badge belongs to your latest assessment. Note the date it was awarded and the expiry date.
Check your subscription
Do you have Premium, Select or Corporate? If not, you may not show the medal externally. Discuss this with your client or your account manager.
Get the correct version
Use the files from EcoVadis itself (via your account or the communication kit), not an image from a search result. Files from third parties may be out of date.
Add the link
For digital publication, add a link to your company’s recognition page (Recognition Page). Let the medal itself link to that page, or place a separate link next to it. This applies to your website, email signature and social media. In a PDF report or on paper, use a QR code.
Add a date
State the publication date of your scorecard and that the recognition is valid for twelve months. That way the reader knows where they stand.
Example texts for your website and quotes
Use texts that state the facts. Avoid superlatives.
EcoVadis medal: silver, assessment dated [date]. View our recognition page at EcoVadis via [link].
We were assessed by EcoVadis in [year] with an overall score of [score] out of 100. That score applies to [company name] and not to other sites.
Our sustainability policy has been assessed by EcoVadis. The scorecard is available on request.
Note the last text. If you may not show the medal because you do not have Premium, you can still state that you were assessed and make the scorecard available for inspection. That is less visible, but accurate. If you mention the medal yourself in a text, the link to your recognition page must be included.
When does the right to share end?
The right to show the medal ends when the twelve months expire. It also ends if you cancel your subscription. Check that your contract does not say anything different about this.
After a reassessment, you receive a new medal, or no medal. A lower medal also replaces the old one. So do not keep showing the old medal if the new one is lower.
If a client sees your old medal, point out the correct situation yourself. That prevents damage to your credibility if a question comes up later.
How to explain this to your marketing team
A short set of instructions you can give to your web editor or marketer:
- Use only the medal that appears on the platform.
- Put the expiry date in your calendar, twelve months after the scorecard was published.
- Add the link to the recognition page next to the logo, or a QR code in print.
- Do not use the logo on products, packaging or in adverts about a product.
- If in doubt, ask the contact person for your EcoVadis subscription, or check the usage rules on the EcoVadis medals page.
